  • Chances are if you took the time to look me up, you want to know a little bit about me! My name is Melissa Waldroup and I teach 4th grade language arts. Lamar has been my home for 4 years, and I love teaching here! My two wild and crazy boys attend Lamar as well. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kevin, for 12 years. As an educator, I strive in molding strong learners and kind individuals.
  • Hey Ya’ll, I’m Mrs. Oliver. I’m looking forward to another year at Lamar Elementary. To tell you a little bit of myself, I am married with three beautiful children. I live in Royse City, but my roots will always be in Greenville. I am looking forward to expanding the knowledge of my future students.
  • Hi everyone! I’m Candice Willhoit and I teach math at Lamar Elementary. I enjoy working with children and helping them reach their dreams through their education. My husband and I are excited to expand to a family of three this coming January. I look forward to seeing you on campus.
  • Hi everyone! I’m Mrs. Quick. I am looking forward to joining the fourth grade team this year at Lamar. I’m from Greenville and love working for Greenville ISD. My husband and I have been married for 30 years. We have two grown children and one sweet granddaughter. I enjoy teaching and expanding young minds. I may not be a hero or wear a cape, but I do believe that teaching is a super power.
  • I am more than a teacher. I am an amateur rapper, dancer, singer and comedian. I love high energy, out-of-the box learning. This is my 7th year to teach at Lamar. I love what I do and who I teach. Before being a teacher, I am a mom and wife. My husband and I have been married for 8 years. We have 2 beautiful girls, ages 7 and 2. We have an enormous 2olb cat named, Oreo. I love traveling and experiencing new things. The most important things in my life are my family, my faith and students. I can’t wait to make this year amazing.
  • My name is Jane Wilson and I am the newest member of the 4th grade team at Lamar. I am new to Greenville, but not new to teaching. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and minor in Math. I am big sports fan and I am particulary devoted to the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. I will always cheer for my Baylor Bears as well! In my spare time, I love to read and sew. I have 4 grown children, Jonathan, Abigail, Joshua, Joel and a pup named Eliie that keep me very busy as well.
