Theater students earn “All-Star” status

Two theater students from Greenville High School recently earned high marks for their performances at One-Act Play competition.

Peyton Patterson was named a member of the All-Star Cast and Christine Strong made the Honorable Mention list at the University Interscholastic League One-Act Play District meet.

The competition was held in Terrell on March 27.

GHS students performed “The Ugly Duckling” by A.A. Milne.  Patterson played the part of The King, while strong played the part of Dulcibella.  One-act plays are short plays that takes place in one act or scene, in contrast to plays that take place over a number of scenes in one or more acts.

“I was extremely proud of them and the rest of the cast for all their hard work,” said Andrea Farnham, GHS theater director.
