Greenville High School Band and Choral Music students earned regional honors at recent competitions.

Three GHS Band students competed in the Region 4 Texas Music Educator's Association All-Region Jazz Band Auditions, held Sept. 29.  All three earned spots in the Region band and will participate in the Region Jazz Clinic and Concert in December.

Earning regional berths were Freshman David Aly, on Alto Saxophone, Sophomore Sam McClellan, on Trumpet and Junior Peter Fanous, on Trombone.

In addition, 13 GHS students and one alternate were selected for the All-Region Mixed Choir.  Ally Davis (alternate), Aaron Evans, Bradley Gaulden, Elmer Manzano, Keane Patterson, Kierian Patterson, Veronica Pena, Rachel Power, Nathan Royall, Anna Shook and Tori Terry will next compete for the Pre-Area Choir in November.

Hannah Himes, Tess Knudson and Peyton Patterson were placed as first chairs in their sections and will also compete in the Pre-Area auditions.
