One of the more popular aspects of last month’s Greenville ISD Veterans Day program can now be had for a meager amount.
The district is now taking orders for the Veterans Day T-shirt worn by workers and participants in the November 11 program, held at Greenville High School. The Black and White shirt, which includes a touch of gold coloring for the lettering, is available for $6.50 (Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large), $7.85 (XXL) or $8.12 (XXXL).
Anyone interested in ordering a shirt is encouraged to email Brad Press, Greenville ISD’s Director of Community Services, for ordering information at

The district, for the second straight year, sponsored a Veterans Day program at the high school for all students in grades three through six and grade 12. The program, a joint project between the school district and high school student government, included performances from the award-winning Greenville ISD Choirs, GHS Lion Pride Band, the high school’s new NJROTC program and the Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard.
Many guests from local veterans organizations attended the program and a luncheon after the program in the high school library. Press said numerous attendees at the program had inquired about the shirts and how to purchase them.
“The Veterans Day program was very well received by our guests. People loved the program, they loved seeing the band and choirs perform and loved seeing the work of the new ROTC unit at the high school. They also liked seeing the elementary students participating as well,” said Press. “But as the case was last year, the main question people had was ‘Where can I get one of those shirts.’”
The deadline to order shirts is Friday, December 31.
