The Greenville Sixth Grade Center provides a departmentalized curriculum for students who desire and are capable of accepting individual responsibilities for learning. 

 

The school offers core courses and additional programs such as Gifted and Talented programs, content mastery, self-contained special education resource, reading improvement, speech therapy, deaf education and Destination Imagination. 

 

Students can also choose to participate in UIL academic competition, band, choral music or art. Athletic facilities, including a closed gymnasium and tennis courts, lend themselves to students interested in sports. 

 

A full-time counselor is on campus to provide individual and group guidance. Referred to as a “vital link” for education locally, the Greenville Sixth Grade Center helps students adjust to life outside the elementary classroom and prepares them for the step up to Greenville Middle School and eventually Greenville High School. 

 

Parent and students of the Greenville Sixth Grade Center have much reason to be proud of their school, and the 2007-2008 school year provided many examples of student success.
