 Greenville Sixth Grade Center, located at 3201 Stanford, provides a departmentalized curriculum for students who desire and are capable of accepting more individual responsibilities for learning.
The school offers core courses and additional programs such as content mastery, self-contained special education resource, Gifted and Talented, reading improvement, speech therapy and deaf education.
Students can also choose to participate in a general music program, band, choral music or art. Athletic facilities, including a closed gymnasium and tennis courts, lend themselves to students interested in sports. A full-time counselor is on campus to provide individual and group guidance. Referred to as a "vital link" for education locally, the Greenville Sixth Grade Center helps students adjust to life outside the elementary classroom and prepares them for the step up to Greenville Middle School and eventually Greenville High School.
