Dear Bowie families,
We have entered the holiday season and lots of things are on your agendas such as attending class parties and programs at school, office parties at work, get togethers with family and friends, and let’s not forget all of the shopping for the perfect gifts for those we love and care about. As wonderful a time of year as it is, it can often bring a lot of stress and even anxiety. I encourage you all to take time to breathe deeply and focus on what, or rather, who really matters. In all of the hub-bub of the season, we can often lose sight of the most important things in life. There will always be bicycles, Game-boys and the like at the retail outlets, but a special moment in time spent with a loved one is not guaranteed beyond right now. If you have some special traditions that you share as a family, I applaud you. If you don’t, why not take the time this year to create some that are unique to you and your family. As my children have grown into adulthood, I’m amazed at the little things they remember and cherish. I know this is cliché, but take time to smell the roses, and I promise, the mark on your memory will be indelible! Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
Thanks,
