Outgoing Greenville Educational Enrichment Foundation President, Randy Tarpley, was recognized at the August 20th board meeting.

Randy Tarpley led the Greenville Educational Enrichment Foundation (GEEF) as president from April 2011 to August 2013.

During his tenure, Mr. Tarpley successfully helped develop, facilitate and lead fundraising efforts to grow the Foundation into a healthy and significant organization.

Through an employee payroll deduction campaign, business campaign and the first annual Adult Spelling Bee and Shrimp Boil, the GEEF raised funds totaling over $25,000.

In 2013, the GEEF awarded twenty-two grants to Greenville ISD teachers totaling nearly $19,000. Purchased items included electronic books, iPads, Kindles, Samsung Notebooks, playground equipment for special needs students and costumes for foreign language classes.
