Members of the Greenville High School Lion Pride Band competed at the Region 4 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest this month and marched away with exceptional results. Joel L. Weisberg, Director of Bands, stated, “We are very proud to announce that 29 of our talented musicians received a division 1 rating (top rating) and 5 students achieved a 2nd division rating. All students represented themselves and GHS in a very positive way.”
Additionally, David Foote, Andrew Walker and Ricky Steward performed their class 1 solos by memory and will be advancing to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin.
