Summer Activities with GISD

This summer, Greenville ISD will host a plethora of summer activities beginning in June. Upcoming events include:
  • Elementary Summer Art Camp for 3rd and 4th grade, which will take place June 8-12th, as well as the Summer Art Camp for 5th and 6th grade on June 15th-19th. Both will  be held at Lamar Elementary. 
  • Destination Imagination Summer Camp, which will be held on June 10-12th. Students will hone in on their creativity and problem solving skills through targeted activities during this three day camp. 
  • Beginner's VEX IQ Robotics Camp on June 22-26th at GMS. The camp is for all students currently in 4th-6th grades. There is a registration fee of $85 per child, which also includes a t-shirt.
Other upcoming summer activities include the ACE Program and the Police Academy, which will be held at the Greenville Sixth Grade Center.
 
GISD will also offer online summer tutoring beginning June 15th-July 31st in math and reading. Tutoring applications are available to any student but, will be accepted based on eligibility for the program. Applications are available at the front office of each campus.
