This November, the Greenville High School Lady Lions soccer and volleyball teams, along with the GHS Flashes and Cheerleaders, are giving thanks a bit differently this year by participating in “The Bert Show” on 102.9 NOW’s BIG THANK YOU to soldiers. The girls wrote thank you letters to deployed U.S. soldiers that they will receive on Thanksgiving Day.

According to The Bert Show, the idea is to “give our troops a “Big Thank You” with a little taste of home this Thanksgiving. Over the past several years, The Bert Show community helped to express a BIG THANK YOU with over a million hand written letters of thanks to every serviceman and woman deployed outside the United States.”

“I’m really proud of our students for wanting to participate in such a great program,” said GHS Lady Lions soccer coach, Shelby Hale.
