Greenville ISD is gearing up for the opening of the Katherine G. Johnson STEM Academy. Parents whose students are currently enrolled in the Academy are strongly encouraged to attend.

There are still spots available for second- and fifth-graders, so parents who are interested in learning more about the Academy are welcome to attend and pick up an application. All other grades are full.

Here are more details:

· When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27. There will not be food served during the meeting.

· Where: Lamar Elementary cafeteria, located at 6321 Jack Finney Blvd

· What will be covered: The meeting will address updated information about the school, procedures, and policies. School applications will also be available at the meeting.

· Should I bring my children? Yes - please bring the student who will be attending the STEM Academy with you. Childcare will be provided.
