Elementary and 6GC robotics teams shine in Caddo Mills scrimmage

The Katherine G. Johnson STEM Academy VEX IQ Robotics Team, the Rock-A-Bots, and the Greenville Sixth Grade Center VEX IQ Robotics Team, the Cyborgs, each entered four teams in the Caddo Mills Rookie Roundup at Lee Elementary School in Caddo Mills Nov. 4. Greenville ISD was well represented in the playoffs, and all teams earned spots in the playoffs. Here are the results:

  • The Rock-A-Bots 148D made up of Brantley Spraggins, Christian Vidal, Urban Casper and Avery Phillips, partnered with Team 23172C, the Hive from Boles ISD, to finish the tournament in second place.
  • The Cyborgs 3148B, whose members are Benjamin Howell and Ariel Ochoa, joined team 22071A, TechnicaLEE BOTS form Griffis Elementary in Caddo Mills. They finished the tournament in third place.
  • The Cyborgs, 3148P, comprised of Joseph Zurita and Grant Spencer, were allied with Team 75505B, Ranger A from Ranger ISD, and finished the tournament in fourth place.
  • The Cyborgs, Team 3148H, made up of Ruben Enriquez and Ashton Woods, were partnered with Team 56565B, the FoxBots from Caddo Mills Middle School to end the tournament on fifth place.

The Rock-A-Bots, Cyborgs and the Greenville Middle School VEX IQ Team, the Protobots will next compete in the Rochell Rangers Ringmaster IQ Challenge at Rockwall Heath High School on Saturday, November 11.
