Richard Myers recently visited Mr. Xanthus's classes to introduce them to the art of blacksmithing.

Mr. Myers' company, Bruce Force and Ignorance Ironwerks, is a veteran owned and operated company. He is dedicated to preserving traditional handmade wrought iron.

He creates unique one-of-a-kind work, custom fabrication, and repairs. Historic recreations for the reenactor, Roman, Viking, medieval Europe, SCA, Fur trappers, Revolutionary War, 1812, Texas Independence, Civil War, or any other group that used hand wrought iron. 

The question was asked what was the first items he ever made. He responded by saying a fork was his first, and then he quickly made one in a matter of minutes. He descibed how long it took him to make the first, but with practice through years of experience, it is now a quick and easy project.
