Title III Parent, Family, and Community

Our Programs

Our programs support families with emergent bilingual students by helping them support their children’s education at home, monitor their progress, and communicate effectively with schools.

Dual Language

Family Support Services

We offer special programs to help families with emergent bilingual students get involved in their children's education. By working closely with schools, we support students in learning English and succeeding academically. Our services include:

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes for Adults: In partnership with Paris Junior College, we offer free ESL classes, General Education Diploma (GED), and Citizenship preparation courses. We also provide opportunities for conferences, educational field trips, and technology skill development

  • Parent Workshops: We host workshops on topics such as:
  1. Understanding parental engagement
  2. Helping with homework
  3. Preparing for parent-teacher conferences

  4. Tracking your child’s progress in English and academics
  5. Asking the right questions to schools.

Program Improvement

  • We continuously improve our programs using surveys, consultations, and guidelines from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Our methods are based on research and are designed to engage families, schools, teachers, and the broader community.

  • These services are part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as updated by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
