About

The Police Department of the Greenville Independent School District is a department providing a full array of police servies to our school community. Policing in an educational environment is a unique experience where we join as partners with educators to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment where teachers may teach and students have the opportunity to learn.  GISD Police officers work toward a common District goal of developing students who excel academically, reason and solve problems rationally, and act responsibly by displaying good character and citizenship.  GISD Police pledge to inspire those we protect, and to serve our district and community with dedication.  The Officers mission is to establish better communications between law enforcement and the youth for a better tomorrow.

The Officers of GISD Police Department are fully certified Texas Peace Officers who have the same authority as other local law enforcement officers.  Our staff is highly trained and qualified to meet the needs of all law enforcement efforts of prevention, intervention, and enforcement with a focus on creating the safest learning environment possible for our students, staff, and visitors.
