Greenville ISD is proud to announce that, based on 2023–2024 school year data, 21 outstanding educators have been awarded designations through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), totaling $291,655 for the 2024–2025 school year.

Excitement filled the halls of Greenville ISD over the last week, as a celebratory parade, joined by the Greenville ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Joe Lopez, marched through campuses, making special stops at each designated teacher’s door. To their complete surprise, each teacher was notified of their designation, which not only applies for this year but will remain valid for the next five years.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment, established by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3, provides additional compensation to top-performing teachers based on their effectiveness in the classroom.

“The Teacher Incentive Allotment is an amazing program that empowers us to attract, recruit, and retain top-tier educators,” said Greenville ISD Grant Manager and TIA Lead Latisha Miles-Britton. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity in our district and proud to reward the hard work and excellence of our teachers in such a meaningful way.”

TIA designations are awarded through a rigorous evaluation process that includes teacher appraisal results, student growth data, and other eligibility criteria approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Based on their performance, teachers may earn one of three designation levels: Recognized, Exemplary, or Master.

The 21 teachers who earned designations this year represent a wide range of grade levels—from early childhood to high school—and subject areas, showcasing the instructional excellence found across all Greenville ISD campuses.

Greenville ISD remains committed to investing in teacher development and instructional quality, with the goal of increasing the number of educators eligible for TIA designations in the years ahead.
