Welcome to the Den | Ms. Kristina Duke
Greenville ISD is excited to welcome Kristina Duke as the new Assistant Principal at Travis Intermediate School.
With 27 years of experience in education, Ms. Duke brings a wealth of knowledge in both classroom instruction and instructional leadership. Her career has spanned multiple grade levels and districts, with a strong focus on literacy and academic support for all learners.
She began her career teaching kindergarten in Mesquite ISD and went on to teach third grade in Lubbock ISD. She later served in Garland ISD as a K–5 reading and math interventionist, and then as an instructional coach, working closely with teachers to enhance student outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Most recently, Ms. Duke served as a Reading Academy Cohort Leader in Royse City ISD, where she led professional learning and supported teachers across the region in implementing the Texas Reading Academies.
Ms. Duke is passionate about student success, teacher development, and building a campus culture where every child feels supported and challenged. She is thrilled to join the Travis Intermediate team and looks forward to partnering with families, staff, and students for a great year ahead.
