Greenville ISD has named Mr. Joel Weisberg as the Head Band Director of Greenville High School.

Mr. Weisberg has an impressive work history and boasts numerous achievements. Three bands under his direction received the prestigious Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Honor Band Finalist distinction. He has led numerous bands to consistent UIL Sweepstakes, increased student participation in All-Region and All-State and has realized growth in bands under his tutelage.

With 21 year of experience, most recently Mr. Weisberg served as Director of Bands for Seagoville High School in Dallas, Texas. He has also presided over the Malakoff High School, Highland Park High School, Alamo Heights High School and McKinney High School bands.

Mr. Don Jefferies, Superintendent, speaks to Mr. Weisberg’s qualifications, “The hiring committee and I were very excited to see a consistent pattern of accomplishments and growth of the bands under Mr. Weisberg. We know he will bring that same level of commitment and excitement to the Greenville High School program.”

Mr. Weisberg would like to invite current GHS band students, GMS band students and all former GISD band members to participate in the 4^th of July parade.” Parade Camp” practice will be held in the GHS band hall July 2^nd and July 3^rd from 8am – noon.
