The Greenville High School Lion Pride Band marched away victoriously from the Northeast Texas Marching Festival on Saturday, October 12^th. The band earned a division one rating, GHS Drum Majors Ben Fawcett and John Shasteen received a division one rating, the band’s Drum Line/Front Ensemble received a division one rating, and the GHS Color Guard received a division two rating. 

Additionally, the Lion Pride Band proceeded to the finals of the competition before bad weather cancelled the finals. The band proudly came home with an extraordinary 7th place finish.

Joel L. Weisberg, Director of Bands, said, “It was very exciting to see our kids own the field like they did! We are excited for a successful UIL competition on Tuesday. A huge thank you to our musicians, parent helpers and directors for all that they do.”
