GREENVILLE, TEX.- Travis Elementary students spent last week, May 5-12th, collecting hygiene items to be donated to the local Women In Need Shelter. The items collected include essential items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc. and will be delivered on Friday, May 16th.
The Faculty, staff, and students were inspired to give to the shelter because "elementary students who stay at the WIN shelter attend school at Travis," says Travis teacher Stephanie Hensley. The students collected about 200 items to deliver to the families in need at WIN.
