Summer Art Camp 2014

GREENVILLE, TEX.-- This past week, June 9-13th, Greenville Independent School District put on a Summer Art Camp at Lamar Elementary School for students going into fourth and fifth grade. Lamar teachers Kim Fake, Samantha Phillips and Shannon Manley taught the camp.

The idea was to expose the kids to different types of arts and to introduce them to different mediums including painting, molding, Origami and string art. Each day the students produced a different type of art using a new medium. At the end of the week, the works of art were displayed at the school in a gallery style.
