Representatives from the STAAR testing contractor, Education Testing Services (ETS), will be visiting Region 8 to conduct focus groups with parents to hear feedback on the new format of the CSR for Spring 2017. The purpose of the feedback is to improve the value of these reports to parents and students. Your thoughtful feedback will help us understand what information parents need to help their children succeed in school to graduate—college and career ready. We need input from parents that live in diverse communities and from a variety of backgrounds—including rural, urban, and suburban regions of the state. We will use this information to improve the format and content of the student score reports you may receive in the future.

We would like to invite you to join us on Thursday, September 8, 2016 for a regional Parent Focus Group on the STAAR Student Reports. This meeting will be held at ESC 8 (see address below) beginning from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.
