The University Interscholastic League  announced new Texas high school athletic districts and classifications for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons Feb. 1 as part of its biennial realignment. Greenville ISD will be competing in the 5A Division 2 District 8.

"We are all looking forward to the competition and to playing some of our old rivals," said Athletic Director & Head Football Coach Darren Duke. "We are also very pleased that the travel will be reduced. I know our students, families and fans will appreciate not spending so much time on the road."
