Greenville High School ACE Site Coordinator Michael Nelson is February Hero of Hope.  

Mr. Nelson was nominated by three admirers. Here are some excerpts from the nominations:

• "Mr. Nelson has an excellent relationship with the students. Not only ACE students, but any student on campus. He goes beyond the call of duty to assure his students are well-equipped to face the real world."

• "He takes time with students to make sure they get what they need to learn."

• "His dedication to the GISD students is exemplary. He is a Hero to most, if not all, of the students that have passed through the halls of Greenville High School."

Mr. Nelson was recognized at the February School Board meeting. He received a $100 gift card from Lone Star Credit Union.
