Parents & community members learned about GISD's Emergency Preparedness Plan March 8 at a meeting focusing on safety.

In addition to discussing safety protocols, training and drills, GISD Police Chief Ramon Rodriguez told the audience about the in-depth training and experience that all members of the district's police force have.

"We have experienced real-life situations that have prepared us for our jobs here in Greenville ISD: keeping our schools safe. There isn't anything we wouldn't do to defend the safety of the students and staff who are entrusted to our care. We are all well equipped and well trained."
