Congratulations to Courtney Baker, our October Hero of Hope!
Greenville High School Assistant Principal Courtney Baker had a surprise visit from a group of admirers who nominated her as GISD's Hero of Hope for October.
Every month (September– May), one districtwide Hero of Hope is selected and honored at the School Board meeting.
Ms. Baker will be honored at the next school board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. She will also receive $100, thanks to Lone Star Credit Union, the official underwriter of Greenville ISD's Hero of Hope program. Her beautiful flowers were donated by Adkisson's Florist.
"One of the greatest opportunities we have as educators is to change the life of a child," Superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins said. "Since that is the most important focus of our work, this is one of the highest honors we can give to an employee."
Whether you are a student, parent, employee or community member, please take the time to nominate your Hero of Hope by filling out a form located in every Greenville ISD campus and building.
This is the disclaimer text. It should wrap, then the bar will grow in height if more space is needed. The blackboard footer will center if disclaimer is not being used and the background will be one color.
