Every month (September– May), one districtwide Hero of Hope is selected and honored at the School Board meeting.
It's was no surprise that SGC Kelley Wiggins would be nominated as the Hero of Hope for November. She has touched the lives of so many GISD students and her compasion and love for what she does is far reaching.
Ms. Wiggins was honored at the November school board meeting. She received $100, thanks to Lone Star Credit Union, the official underwriter of Greenville ISD's Hero of Hope program and she was presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers donated by Adkisson's Florist.
"One of the greatest opportunities we have as educators is to change the life of a child," Superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins said. "Since that is the most important focus of our work, this is one of the highest honors we can give to an employee."
Whether you are a student, parent, employee or community member, please take the time to nominate your Hero of Hope by filling out a form located in every Greenville ISD campus and building.
