Great teaching and learning is what we're all about in GISD!

That's why we are introducing a new honor reserved for teachers who skillfully engage their students through innovative instruction. Every nine weeks, each campus principal selects a teacher for this special honor.

The Super Teachers go to lunch with Superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins, are recognized at a school board meeting, and they receive a T-shirt that they can wear with jeans.

The Super Teacher T-shirts and lunch are underwritten by Perdue Brandon, Attorneys at Law.
