VEX Robotics Team advances to state!

Team 148A, which includes Ethan Kiowski, left, and Avery Phillips, are advancing to state. The other two team members were unable to attend the competition but will still be representing the team at state.

 

Five teams from the Katherine G. Johnson STEM Center competed against 40 other area teams in a VEX IQ regional meet in Sachse, Texas.

Congratulations to all the students who worked so hard, and to Team 148A, who will be advancing to the State Championship in Garland March 9. Here are the results from the Sachse tournament:

Team 148A placed first to become the Tournament Teamwork Champions and qualified for the State Championship in Garland March 9th. The team also improved their Driver Skills score to 20 points, ranking them #25 out of 202 in the state. Team members include:

Team 148D placed third and improved their Driver Skills score to 13 points, ranking them #51 out of 202 teams in the state. Team members include:

  • Silas Hill

Team 148B placed eighth. Team members include:

  • Emma Shepherd
  • Brantley Spraggins
  • Makiah Rodriguez
  • Avery Willis
