Congratulations to our February Hero of Hope!
Congratulations to Jill Jarvis, our February Hero of Hope!
Jarvis, an inclusion paraprofessional at the Sixth Grade Center, was nominated by a number of co-workers.
"When she comes into the classroom, the students love her smiling face," said Ruthie Francois, Functional Academic Class (FAC) teacher. "She is there to help when a student has a rough day, as well as to celebrate on our good days. My students are truly blessed to have her in our class."
Sixth-grade teacher Chesley Powell said Jarvis "goes above and beyond the call of duty.
"She anticipates problems and resolves them while maintaining conversation and carrying on duties. I feel she is a Hero of Hope because she has close relationships with the student body and is a giving soul who helps out staff any chance she gets."
Jarvis will be honored at the next school board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19. She will also receive $100, thanks to Lone Star Credit Union, the official underwriter of Greenville ISD's Hero of Hope program. Also, she has already received a beautiful bouquet of flowers, donated by Adkisson's Florist.
