National Signing Day is the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for a collegiate sport. 

Five GHS athletes will fulfill their dream of playing at the next level and were surrounded by family and fellow athletes today as they signed their letters of intent in the GHS gym. 

Football

• Nick Mapps – Missouri Valley College
• Caleb Jarvis – Missouri Valley College
• Ethan Payne – McPherson College 

Girls Soccer

• Kiana Ellison – Stephens College
• Kayle Deleon – Seminole State College

Darren Duke, GISD Athletic Director, praised the athletes for their hard work both on and off the field.  "You did not get here today just for athletic ability alone but for your performance in the classroom and outstanding behavior" Duke said.  "We applaud you today for your perseverance!"
