Greenville ISD Awarded TASBO Award of Merit

Greenville ISD has been awarded the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) Award of Merit for Purchasing and Operations.  The award is provided to school districts and Education Service Centers statewide that are committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services.

 

In determining the TASBO Award of Merit designees, TASBO reviewed various procedures and practices including: organization, policies & procedures, contract operations, staff training and certification, p-card systems (if applicable), warehousing, use of technology, communication and management of co-operative programs. Each application was reviewed by two independent reviewers.

 

“The receipt of the TASBO Award of Merit shows Greenville ISD’s continued commitment to financial responsibility. We are incredibly proud of our purchasing and operations staff and their continual focus on maintaining good stewardship over the community’s tax dollars,” stated Kelli Tharp, Director of Community Services.

 

Greenville ISD will be recognized on Thursday, March 1, 2012  at the Second General Session of the 66th Annual Conference to be held in Austin.
