Lucien Junkin, right, the chief engineer of the space exploration at NASA, stopped by Greenville High School to tour the robotics gym with GISD Robotics Director Adrienne Emerson and Director of Regional Operations at the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation Andrew Schaafs III. 

 

NASA is on a mission to go back to the moon by 2024, according to this recent ABC news report in which Junkin was interviewed. NASA is a longstanding sponsor of the annual FIRST robotics competition.
