Thank you, Altrusa, for your generous donation to New Horizons High School Student Advisory Board at today's meeting! The grant will be used for community outreach efforts planned by the students. For starters, they will be visiting area senior citizen centers during the holiday season, treating them to Christmas carols and a visit from Santa Claus!

"These leadership and community support experiences are so important for our students. We are training them to be leaders who understand the importance of community involvement and how people of character make a point of reaching out to others," NHHS Principal Deborah Gossett says. "I want to give a special thanks to our Advisory Board President Judy Trapp and longtime Board Member Janeen Cunningham. These ladies have such a heart for our young people and our school."

As far as who will be donning the Santa suit, he doesn't know it yet, but it's one of our most beloved Lions who most everyone in town just calls "Coach."

Anyone want to take a guess?
