On Saturday, January 11, the final round of the Texas All-State Choir auditions were held at the campus of Texas A&M University-Commerce. 

Greenville High School juniors Michael Surface and Miranda Price both received the distinction of making the All-State Choir. Michael was second chair in the Bass 2 section and earned a spot in the All-State mixed choir. Miranda was sixth chair in the Soprano 1 section and earned a spot in the All-State Treble Choir. 

"They are two of the most talented and hard-working students I have ever had," said Scott Surface, GHS Choral Director, "I am extremely proud of them both!"

They will be traveling to San Antonio in February for the Texas Music Educators Association annual convention, culminating with concerts by these two choirs on Saturday, February 15th.
