There’s a new lion watching over the pride at Greenville High School.

Thanks to the generous folks at Stromberg Statuary, a regal lion statue greets visitors at the front of GHS.

Principal Heath Jarvis said he took the idea to GHS teacher and Student Council Advisor Kiley Austin, and she and her students had the statue secured within a week.

“It really adds something to the front of the school,” he said. “We really appreciate Ms. Austin and the Strombergs for donating the statue to the school.”
