The victim reported that the suspect yelled to her to come to him, but the victim continued home. The suspect was able to catch up to her and grab her by the arms. The suspect pulled the victim in his direction while telling her to come with him. The victim was able to escape his grasp and run away.

The victim described the suspect as a white male, possibly 30 years or older, wearing a hat, glasses, facial hair, a blue jacket and blue jeans.

The Greenville ISD Assistant Superintendent for Administration and Operations has alerted GISD school bus drivers to be vigilant in their observations for suspicious persons and activity.

Greenville ISD counselors will continue to utilize safety curriculum and tools in their daily discussions with students. Counselors were trained in the “WHO – We Help Ourselves” curriculum last year which has videos and discussion topics on safety which they will continue to employ in their conversations and lessons with students.

Parents are encouraged to discuss safety with their children.
