RESULTS FOR 2012 TEXAS STATE GERMAN CONTEST

 

Greenville High School German students competed at the Texas State German Contest held at the University of Texas –Austin, Saturday, February 25, 2012. The students are the contestants who qualified in the top five at one of the three regional contests held in the state of Texas in academic events and cultural events.

 

GHS STATE WINNERS:

 

2nd in Non-traditional Gingerbread Houses – Diagon Alley.  Builders:  Erin McKinney, Sara Wray, Delaney Stewart, Sascha Tripp, and Katie McMurray.

 

2nd in Folk Dance - Team Members:  Sara Wray, Keegan Blackshear, Zach Eye, Ben Fawcett, Veronica Green, Victoria Hosking, Erin McKinney, Katie McMurray, Landon Moser, Lacy O’Brien, Christina Ory, Kaci Porter, Gerardo Rea, Ricky Steward, Sascha Trip, and John Wensel.

 

4th in Level 3 Skit – Ich will jetzt gleich König sein.  Cast members:  Tyler King,  Sara Wray, Jordan Henderson, Veronica Green,  William Strickland, Kelly Ory, Aldo Paulin, Daniel Rios, Sara Matlack, and Erin McKinney.

 

5th in Level 2 Skit – Hänsel und Gretel.  Cast members:  Ben Fawcett, Katie McMurray, Elle Grantham, Tanner Knudson, Delaney Stewart.

 

7th in Oompah Band -  Directed by Keegan Blackshear. Musicians: David Aly, Taylor Bigony, Brenda Chavez, Clay Evans, Zach Eye, Ben Fawcett, Tyler King, Kelly Ory, Gerardo Rea, Daniel Rios, Mason Smith, Ricky Stewart.
