Tech Talk helps parents with technology questions

tt

Parents, mark your calendars for Thursday, Oct. 1, when Greenville ISD will hold three "Tech Talk" sessions!

With the increase in online learning, parents are taking on an important role in supporting their children at home. We appreciate our parents, and we want to support them, which is why we're launching this new support session for parents. There is no agenda - it's like a help desk just for parents and a time for everyone to exchange ideas and tips. Think of it as an online come-and-go open house where you can come with questions and join the conversation.

 Here are the times:
  • 10 a.m.-noon
  • 1-3 p.m.
  • 4-6 p.m.

To join one of the meetings, click HERE at one of the times listed above on Thursday. The link will be activated at 9:50 a.m. Thursday so you may join in advance. Parents who cannot join online may join on their phone. Email techtalk@greenvilleisd.com to request the phone number and code. There will be a translator in the meetings to assist Spanish-speaking parents.

In preparation, please take a moment to visit the resources on the ROAR (Remote Online Access Resources) page, where you'll find information about using Chromebooks and Ipads. You'll also find video tutorials explaining how to use Google Classroom and Seesaw.

The sessions will be hosted by Technology Integration Specialist Kayci Schellinger and Computer Technician Christa Glover. For more information, email techtalk@greenvilleisd.com

Thank you, parents, for all the invaluable support you give to us and your children! You are the bridge that allows teaching and learning to happen!
