Five Greenville High School athletes will fulfill their dream of playing football at the next level! They were surrounded by family, coaches, teachers and fellow athletes today as they signed their letters of intent in the GHS gym.

Shawn Brown – Texas A&M University-Commerce 

Miles Denson – Pittsburg State University 

Caleb Johnson – University of North Texas 

Brandon Stephens – Oklahoma Panhandle State University 

Michael Surface – Texas A&M University-Commerce 

“This is something you’ve been working on since kindergarten,” Principal Heath Jarvis said. “God gave you the talent, but your performance in the classroom is what brought you here today, and we are so proud of you for your hard work!” 

GISD Athletic Director Darren Duke praised the athletes for their work ethic both on and off the field. 

"You did not get here today just for athletic ability alone, but for your performance in the classroom and outstanding behavior," Duke said. "We applaud you today for your perseverance!"
