GISD awards range from digital media to writing and marketing

Greenville ISD won eight awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for excellence in school communications.
“These awards are a reflection of the grit, flexibility and heart that were demonstrated by our students, teachers and families during an extremely challenging year," Chief Communications Officer Helen Williams said. “As we prepare for the new school year, it's exciting to start with this announcement. It is a testament to GISD’s growing reputation as a district committed to excellence.”
Professional judges evaluated more than 1,000 submissions nationwide. GISD earned the following awards:
- Top Award of Excellence for Marketing Materials: A look inside Greenville ISD (booklet)
- Top Award of Excellence for Branding / Image Package: Nothing Stops a Lion (banner)
- Top Award of Excellence for Video: Pre-K Round-Up (English and Spanish)
- Two Awards of Merit for Excellence in Writing: 1) There’s only one way to tackle college-level work in high school: together 2) Nothing Stops a Lion: demonstrating a portrait of resilience
- Honorable Mention for Branding / Image Package: Rally Round Reading
- Honorable Mention for Website: Greenville ISD
- Honorable Mention for Video: We're Here For You: Back to School 2020-21
NSPRA is a nonprofit, professional organization dedicated to promoting education through effective communications.
