GISD families and employees cleaned out their closets for a good cause

September 1, 2021

GISD families and employees cleaned out their closets for a good cause last week, and today, Michael Garrett made his rounds picking up all the donations.

"I was truly humbled when I saw how many clothes we received today. Every school had something for us," he said. "The people and staff in your district are amazing people. They are very nice, police and caring. We really enjoy working with you."

A big thank you to everyone who has donated and to our awesome Communities in Schools site coordinators for organizing the drive!

Trusted World's motto is "Helping People Help People." Over the years, the organization has provided food, clothing, school supplies and more to many GISD students and families. In fact, while he was stopping at the campuses, Trusted World CEO and Founder Michael Garrett dropped off a pallet of water at Travis/Sixth Grade Center and two pallets of school supplies at Carver.
