June 6, 2022

Clock

UPDATE 6/7/22:

We are making a slight adjustment to the campus hours that were published June 6. The Sixth Grade Center hours will align with elementary campus hours (7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.).

This adjustment has been made to the original post below.

Original Post 6/6/22:

Greenville ISD is adjusting the daily start and end times for the 2022-2023 school year. Based on feedback from families and staff, changes were made to school start times and the length of the school day.

  • Elementary (PK-6) - 7:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
  • Grades 7-8 - 8:05 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.
  • High School (9-12) - 8:20 a.m. – 3:50 p.m.
  • GAEP - Grades 7-8 - 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • GAEP - Grades 9-12 - 8:05 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.

For the 2022-23 school year, the length of the school day will be reduced by 20 minutes at all levels. The number of minutes in the GISD 2022-23 calendar is 77,400, which exceeds the 75,600 required minutes and leaves room for flexibility.
