Students share their future dreams on new billboard

The “They Dream It. We Teach It.” tagline featured on our new billboard stems from the district’s mission: Our united GISD community strives to prepare, inspire and empower every student to lead a successful life.

It is said that teachers make all professions possible. In GISD, our teachers are committed to helping every single student reach their fullest potential.

Featured on the billboard are:

  • L.P. Waters preschooler Paisley Weaver, who wants to become a teacher when she grows up.
  • Carver fourth-grader Israel Escobar, who wants to be a veterinarian in the future.
  • Greenville High School junior Joshua Nelson, who would like to pursue a career in pharmacy.

When Paisley Weaver heard the new billboard was up, she and her mom couldn't resist driving over to check it out in person.

The billboard is located on westbound I-30 just past the 1570 exit. It is part of an ongoing pride campaign that is 100% paid for by local businesses and community advertisers who support GISD and its mission to open the doors to the future for all students.
