The week before he received his diploma, Greenville High School 2021 grad Landon Craven committed to serve the United States Army during a signing day ceremony hosted at the high school.
Today, Landon is an Army X-ray technician with the rank of Private First Class working towards Specialist. He is getting shipped out to Vilseck, Germany for three years.
He chose to pursue an Army career to set himself up for a good life and to follow in the footsteps of his father, who also served in the Army.
During his years as a GISD student, Landon was known for being a kind, caring person who went out of his way to make people feel welcome.
