The Greenville Educational Enrichment Foundation (GEEF) Adult Spelling Bee once again brought community members together for a great cause! Twelve teams put their skills to the test on Friday, Feb. 24, at the annual event, which raised over $10,000, to be used for innovative teaching grants.
The Linebarger Logophiles claimed the top honors with Doctors of Orthography (Hunt Regional Healthcare) and The Banking Bee (Alliance Bank) following with second and third place. Best team costume went to Hot Shots (Bow Barn Archery Shop) and Wi Spel Gud (Ben E. Keith) won the best team name award.
Thank you to Innovation First International for providing a fabulous venue and for being the title sponsor of the event again this year. Many thanks, also, to the GEEF board and volunteers who put in countless hours organizing the event and taking care of every detail. And thank you, Glenda's Cafe for another amazing meal!
