Amy Wade, Executive Director of Communications
Meet Amy Wade, the newly appointed Executive Director of Communications for GISD. With a rich history in Greenville, Amy brings a deep-rooted connection to the community and a wealth of experience to her new role.
Having previously served as the Director of Community Relations & Marketing for the past seven years, Amy has a strong understanding of the district's needs and priorities. Her knowledge of the community and her expertise in building relationships will be invaluable in her role as the Executive Director of Communications.
Amy's journey in education started as a Kindergarten teacher for GISD, where she dedicated 12 years of her career to shaping young minds. In 2016, she joined the GISD Communications Team, utilizing her skills to effectively share the district's message and engage the community.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Amy is a proud graduate of GHS Class of 1988. She comes from a family with a long legacy in the area who owns The Tarpley Realtors, where she worked as a realtor while being a devoted stay-at-home mom to her three children. Two of her children are happily married, and all three of them have graduated from GISD, further deepening their family's ties to the district.
Amy's passion for education, her extensive experience and her strong ties to the community make her an excellent fit for the role of Executive Director of Communications. She is committed to effectively communicating the district's achievements, initiatives and opportunities to foster a sense of pride and engagement among students, parents, staff and the wider community. Xachary Aguilar, Digital Media Coordinator
Meet Xachary Aguilar, joining the Greenville ISD's Communications team as the Digital Media Coordinator. With years of experience in the waterpark industry, specializing in corporate planning, corporate marketing, sales, and operations, Xachary brings a wealth of skills and expertise to his new role.
Aside from being a proud graduate of Greenville ISD, he comes from a family with a combined 30 years of experience in public school districts and has a deep-rooted understanding of the importance of education and effective communication within the school community. His passion for education and community engagement is evident in his commitment to this new role within the district.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Xachary is an avid supporter of the Dallas Stars hockey team and Dallas Mavericks basketball team, showcasing his love for sports. Additionally, he has a passion for photography and videography, capturing beautiful moments and expressing his creativity through visual arts.
With his keen eye for detail, strategic mindset, and creative flair, Xachary is ready to leverage his digital media expertise to enhance Greenville ISD's online and social presence and engage the students, parents, staff and the community effectively. His dedication to excellence, combined with his diverse background, makes him a valuable asset to the Communications team. Welcome back Xachary!
Natalie Pegg, Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator
Meet Natalie Pegg, the new Community Relations and Marketing Coordinator for GISD's Communications team. With a strong background in nonprofit management and communications, Natalie brings a wealth of experience to her role.
Previously serving as the Executive Director for United Way of Hunt County and working as a Communications Specialist before that, Natalie has honed her skills in marketing, community engagement and forging partnerships. Her expertise in strategic communication and relationship building will be instrumental in enhancing the district's outreach efforts.
Outside of work, Natalie is a dedicated mother and wife, balancing her professional career with the joys of family life. She enjoys online shopping and has a knack for making new friends wherever she goes, showcasing her friendly and outgoing nature.
With her passion for education and her commitment to fostering strong community connections, Natalie is excited to contribute to GISD's mission of providing quality education. Her creativity, interpersonal skills and dedication to excellence will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the district's communication and community engagement initiatives. Welcome Natalie!
