On Saturday, October 6^th, five Greenville Middle School students traveled to Longview for the All-Region Middle School Mixed Choir audition. Three GMS students were selected for the All-Region Choir and one student was named an alternate. Laura Foote was selected 1st chair out of more than 50 altos who auditioned from GISD’s zone. Among the 50+ sopranos who auditioned from our zone, Emma Shasteen made 4^th chair, Julie Hollister 10^th chair and Claire Hooper 11^th chair (qualifying as an alternate who can step in and replace any of the top ten sopranos if they are unable to perform). The MS Mixed Choir auditions were specifically for 8^th grade sopranos, altos, tenors and basses.

Next Saturday, October 13^th, four more Greenville Middle School students (David Foote, J.T. Foote, Kenneth “Gage” Hollis and Lydia Shatney) will be traveling to Mt. Pleasant for the All-Region Cambiata Choir auditions.

On Saturday, November 3^rd, singers from both All-Region Choirs (MS Mixed and Cambiata) will travel to Mt. Pleasant High School for an all-day clinic and 5 p.m. concert.
