Greenville ISD Announces David Collins as Athletic Director
Greenville ISD is excited to announce the appointment of the new Greenville ISD Athletic Director, David Collins.
Prior to accepting his new role of Athletic Director for the Greenville Lions, Collins has an extensive background working with coaches and student-athletes holding roles such as Assistant Athletic Director of Mabank ISD, Athletic Director & Head Football Coach at Pine Tree ISD, Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Richardson ISD as well as stops at Flower Mound Marcus HS, Allen HS and his alma mater, Mabank HS.
Collins is a proud graduate of Sterling College and has earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Coach Collins has a successful track record, guiding the Pearce High School Mustangs to significant achievements in their six seasons under his leadership. During this time, the 6A program excelled with every sport advancing to post-district play, and notably, reaching the second round of post-season play in 2017 and 2018. Prior to his head coaching role at Pearce, Collins served as Offensive Coordinator at Lake Travis HS, contributing to the Cavaliers' undefeated 16-0 season in 2011 and securing the 4A Division I State Championship. In the same season of securing a state championship, Collins was selected to coach the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star Game in 2012.
Collins is married to his wife Crystal who is in her 19th year in education, and her 6th year as an Instructional Support Specialist in Richardson ISD. David & Crystal have one daughter, Kellison (3).
