GMS Band student Coleman Avants earned 1^st chair Tenor Saxophone in the top Symphonic Band at the Region 4 All-Region Band auditions held on November 17th.  Coleman also performed with the all-region band at the clinic and concert held on December 8th at Texas High School.  The symphonic band was conducted by Mr. Bryan Field.

11 Greenville Middle School band students participated in the Region 4 All-Region Band auditions.  The auditions were hosted by Texas Middle School in Texarkana.  Students participating in the audition process were  Jessica Bousquet- flute, Kennedi Wilson-flute, David Foote-flute, Madicyn Evans-clarinet, Laura Foote-alto Saxophone, Coleman Avants-tenor saxophone, Thomas Cade-trombone, Michael Sisto-trombone, Erin Morrissey-Euphonium, Juan Lopez-tuba, and Ryan Bakkum-percussion.

More than 500 students from 12 middle schools in the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 4 participated in the auditions.
